Winter Magic Kickoff Features Chili Cookoff
The Glenstone Lodge is a great place to stay during your next visit to Gatlinburg. It is within walking distance from all the best Gatlinburg attractions, shopping, and dining. On November 7th Winter Magic Kickoff Features Chili Cookoff in downtown Gatlinburg. What better way to bring in the winter season then with a big bowl of delicious chili?
This event is perfect for getting you excited and ready for the holidays. Gatlinburg is gorgeous in the wintertime with all of its magical twinkling lights. The cookoff offers some of the best homemade chili recipes. The tastes of chili will range from mild, wild, and just plain adventurous. This will be the 23rd year that the event has been hosted. It will take place from 5p.m.-8p.m. With the chili cookoff brings the debut of the all-LED Gatlinburg Winter Magic lights program. Together there will be chili from 20 restaurants, attractions, retailers, banks, and more all serving nearly 30,000 cups of chili in hopes of getting that special award.
Anyone who is attending the event is encouraged to vote for the best chili they try. There are a few different awards given out at the event. Including best presentation, best chili apron, and best chili. All winners will be announced at 7:15p.m during the event. Admissions for the event is free, however if you will be sampling the chili an $8 wristband is required. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Pi Beta Phi Elementary School PTA.
